A semi air suspension system transforms how a vehicle rides and handles. But a system you cannot easily adjust is a system that cannot reach its full potential. The Air Master Controller is a control unit developed by MAD and supplied by Glide-Rite as part of their pressure-regulated semi air suspension systems. It gives drivers direct, manual control over their air suspension from inside the cab, without needing to stop the vehicle, check pressures manually or rely on fixed settings that may not suit the current load or road conditions.
The controller can be mounted wherever suits the driver best, not just on the dashboard, making it genuinely accessible regardless of how the cab is configured.
Most standard suspension systems are designed for an average load and set of conditions. In practice, neither of those things stays constant. A motorhome loaded for a long trip sits very differently from one setting off with a light load. A wheelchair-accessible vehicle carrying one passenger handles differently from one carrying several. A recovery vehicle returning unladen is a different proposition from one towing a heavy casualty vehicle.
When suspension cannot be adjusted to account for these differences, the vehicle rides too stiffly, too softly, or unevenly, all of which affect comfort, stability, and handling. The Air Master Controller removes that limitation entirely.
One of the most practical features of the Air Master Controller is its ability to adjust the left and right sides of the suspension independently. This matters because real-world loads are rarely perfectly balanced. Water tanks, luggage, equipment and passengers all sit where they sit, and the vehicle has to cope with whatever weight distribution that creates.
Being able to compensate for an uneven load by adjusting each side independently means the vehicle stays level and stable rather than sitting or driving with a lean. The result is better handling, more even tyre wear and a noticeably more comfortable experience for everyone on board.
Complexity in a control system is a problem, not a feature. The Air Master Controller has been designed around an intuitive interface that allows quick adjustments without distracting the driver or requiring any technical knowledge to operate. The controls are clear, the response is immediate, and the system is straightforward to use from day one.
The controller also features a cyber-safe communication design. It is a fundamental requirement and built in as standard.
