The Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show returned to the NEC in Birmingham on 17th – 22nd February 2026, bringing together manufacturers, converters and vehicle specialists from across the industry. For Glide-Rite, the event provided an opportunity to showcase some of the most exciting developments in their product range.

Two innovations attracted particular attention on the stand. The EasyLoad vehicle loading system and the new hydraulic levelling system designed for the Ford Transit Custom and Volkswagen T7 both drew strong interest from visitors, converters and industry partners.

The event highlighted Glide-Rite’s continued focus on engineering practical solutions that improve vehicle usability, safety and convenience.

A Closer Look at EasyLoad

One of the most talked about products on the stand was the EasyLoad vehicle-mounted loading system. Designed for vans, trailers and light commercial vehicles, EasyLoad makes it possible for a single person to load and unload heavy equipment safely and efficiently.

For businesses and specialist vehicle operators, this type of system removes the need for additional manpower or external lifting equipment. With the electrically powered winch and lifting beam, heavy tools or machinery can be handled quickly and safely.

Visitors to the NEC stand were particularly interested in the way EasyLoad integrates into the vehicle without sacrificing valuable cargo space. The crane sits close to the vehicle structure and can be moved aside when not in use, keeping the load area fully accessible.

Key benefits that caught the attention of visitors included:

  • One-person operation for loading and unloading heavy equipment
  • Reduced manual lifting and improved workplace safety
  • Efficient use of vehicle cargo space
  • Installation that can be completed quickly thanks to its plug-and-play design

For many commercial users, the ability to increase efficiency while reducing physical strain is a significant advantage.

World First Hydraulic Levelling for Transit Custom and VW T7

Another highlight of the NEC show was Glide-Rite’s new hydraulic levelling system designed specifically for the Ford Transit Custom and Volkswagen T7 platforms.

Developed in partnership with HPC Hydraulics, the system introduces a new standard for lightweight campervan levelling technology. The ultra lightweight hydraulic jacks weigh just 3.2 kilograms each, making them among the lightest hydraulic levelling jacks available while still delivering the strength expected from a full hydraulic system.

For campervan builders and owners working within strict payload limits, this innovation represents a significant step forward. The system delivers automatic levelling without placing unnecessary weight on the vehicle.

Key features presented at the NEC included:

  • Ultra-lightweight hydraulic jacks designed for modern campervan platforms
  • Fully automatic levelling at the push of a button
  • A design engineered specifically for the Transit Custom and VW T7
  • No compromise on vehicle payload

The system is scheduled for official launch in August 2026, and the NEC show provided an early opportunity for converters and partners to see the technology firsthand.

Strong Interest from Converters and Visitors

Throughout the six-day event, the Glide-Rite stand welcomed a steady flow of visitors. Campervan builders, fleet operators and private owners all showed strong interest in the latest developments.

Many conversations focused on the growing demand for lightweight systems that improve vehicle usability without sacrificing payload or interior space. Both EasyLoad and the new campervan levelling system address this challenge directly.

The show also provided an opportunity for Glide-Rite to strengthen relationships with existing customers and introduce their solutions to new audiences across the industry.

Looking Ahead

The NEC show continues to be one of the most important events in the UK leisure vehicle calendar, and this year demonstrated how quickly the campervan and specialist vehicle sectors are evolving.

For Glide-Rite, the event confirmed strong interest in practical innovations that improve both comfort and functionality. With the upcoming launch of the new Transit Custom and VW T7 hydraulic levelling system and the continued rollout of EasyLoad, the company is well positioned for the next stage of growth.
